FAQ

Q: What is a private dance lesson?
A: A private lesson is when a dance instructor works with only one student or one couple at a time.  During a private lesson, you will get one-on-one instruction tailored to your personal needs.  Private lessons are by appointment only, please Contact Us to schedule your private lesson today!

Q: Do I need a partner to take lessons?
A: No partner is required to take lessons, we teach both singles and couples.  If you come without a partner, during your lesson your instructor will be your partner.

Q: Do I have to purchase more than one private lesson at a time?
A: No, you can pay as you go.  However, our lesson packages are designed to benefit you, giving you the same quality lessons at a discounted rate.  Visit our Private Lesson page for more details.

Q: What should I wear to my lesson?
A: Most importantly, you should dress comfortably in clothes that allow freedom of movement.  See below for what type of shoes you should wear.

Q: What type of shoes should I wear?
A: Again, you should opt to wear something comfortable and lightweight.  A shoe with a smooth sole, preferably leather or suede, is best.  You may eventually want to purchase ballroom dance shoes.  Visit our Preferred Vendors to see where you can buy ballroom dance shoes.  For wedding couples, we recommend wearing the shoes you'll be dancing in at your wedding, or something similar.

Q: What if I need to reschedule or cancel a lesson?
A: No problem, we understand that schedules change all the time.  Please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled lesson.  If you are unable to provide us with at least 24 hours notice, please be aware that you will be charged the full lesson amount.  Therefore, we encourage you to notify us as soon as possible.  For more information, view our Terms and Conditions.
