Helpful Tips

When to start lessons

We recommend having your dance completed at least 1 month before your wedding.  The earlier you begin your lessons, the more time you have to practice and become comfortable!

Length of your dance

It is completely up to you! We recommend having your full dance between 1.5-2 minutes. We can shorten your song to the perfect length with our Music Editing! Click here for more info

What to wear for practicing

While learning it is best to to wear something comfortable.  Once your dance is complete it is best to wear clothing that replicates the day of including shoes and a long skirt/dress (to practice not stepping on the dress!)

Warm up on the wedding day

It is great to do a practice run through of your dance on your wedding day!  It allows you to feel what it’s like in the dress before dancing in front of your guests.  It is also great to have your photographer/videographer there because we’ve seen some beautiful shots come from the warm up!

How to look effortless

The most important part of your dance is your facial expressions. Look at each other, smile and most importantly have fun!  Your guests much rather see you completely mess up the steps and have the best time, instead of completing your dance perfectly with a concentrated/unhappy face.
